The Saanjh Knot was never created in a boardroom. It was born in the quiet rhythm of everyday life. Long before it became a brand, it was a feeling. As we began working with extraordinarily skilled women artisans, many of whom create from the warmth of their homes, we would often ask them when they would continue weaving, knotting, and crocheting.

Almost every answer was the same.

“Hum saanjh mein kar lenge.” meaning “We’ll do it in the evening.”

Those words stayed with us. In India, Saanjh is more than the evening. It is a sacred pause between daylight and dusk—a golden hour when the world slows, homes come alive, lamps begin to glow, conversations replace the noise of the day, and time seems to soften. It is the hour of belonging. It is in these quiet moments that countless hands begin to create. Threads are patiently woven. Knots are tied with unwavering care.
